A 19-year-old man is hit with two of the first four shots.

Then the prosecutor believes that the 19-year-old who was shot must have fired back three shots with his own weapon before he fled the scene.

The 19-year-old describes in police questioning that he was out walking with six or seven friends when he saw a guy standing in the middle of the road.

When he approached the person, someone allegedly started shooting and he was then hit by two shots.

However, he denies that he himself had a weapon and fired back.

Call the SOS alarm yourself

The 19-year-old himself calls SOS shortly after the shooting and says that he was shot in the buttocks and in the protective vest he was wearing.

The alarm call is in the police's preliminary investigation.

The 19-year-old: "There were several shots, he shot me in the back, but my vest caught it."

SOS alarm: "Do you have a bulletproof vest?"

The 19-year-old: "Yes, he shot me in the back but it took off."

Later in the interrogation, the man claims that he was wearing a protective vest for safety's sake.

The 19-year-old: "I said the way society looks, it's not that hard to understand that you're wearing a vest."

The interrogator: "Ok.

And describe what you mean by that.”

The 19-year-old: "Yes, a lot of shootings."

Empty casings from guns

At the underpass, empty shell casings from two different weapons are found, which supports the prosecutor's theory that shots were fired from two directions.

Four of the shots of caliber 7.65 mm can also be connected to a weapon that was previously fired with in criminal environments.

The weapon that the prosecutor believes the 19-year-old fired was also taken by another Gävle resident shortly after.

The 19-year-old man is charged with a serious weapons offense for the shooting and for having weapons on previous occasions during August.

He is also charged with drug offences, after allegedly engaging in drug sales during the summer of 2020 together with some close relatives.
