Jordan Bardella denounced the climate of violence and insecurity that reigns in Mayotte.

The president of the National Rally called on the government to "take back control" at the microphone of the morning of Europe 1 this Monday to prevent the situation from being exported to mainland France.

Guest of the morning of Europe 1 this Monday, Jordan Bardella gave an alarmist speech on the situation in Mayotte.

Violence is increasing on the island in the Indian Ocean, which is the 101st French department.

Bus drivers are notably victims of stones, others, even more serious, of aggression.

Asked about this, the president of the National Rally pointed to the fact that "50% of the population is foreign".

"We often say that Mayotte is the first maternity hospital in France," he added.

"There are roadblocks in the streets, every day French people attacked in the streets. I heard that a school bus was attacked by illegal immigrants with machetes."

Jordan Bardella warns again: "Mayotte will certainly be our future in mainland France if we do not regain control now. (...) I remind you that Mayotte is France. It has, on four occasions, made the choice to belong to the French Republic and France has no right to abandon Mayotte."
