A 24-year-old man, homeless and "unfavorably known to the police" was sentenced Friday in Lyon to eight months in prison.

He was imprisoned at the end of his judgment, we learned this Monday from the Sûreté du Rhône.

The individual, judged in immediate appearance, appeared for aggravated theft.

The night before, he had stolen the mobile phone and bank card of a 17-year-old girl at the "Croix-Paquet" metro station.

The victim had little trouble identifying him since he abhorred a coquard in his left eye.

She was thus able to provide a detailed description when she complained.

Recognized by the victim and the cameras

The scene having been filmed by CCTV cameras, the investigators quickly recognized the suspect and apprehended him in the evening while he was in the Terreaux district with other individuals.

During his arrest, he was found in possession of the victim's credit card which he had hidden in "the seam of his clothes".

However, he denied stealing it.
