We have moved from the stage of “no one knows us” to “who does not know us.”

Citizens who lived through the period of announcing the federation of the UAE expressed their pride in this milestone in the history of the country, stressing that the federation contributed to changing the country's image and transferring it from the difficult life of the UAE residents to the stage of global competitiveness at various levels.

In detail, citizen Hamad Al-Shuwain told Emirates Today: “Before the founding of the federation, our life was very different from what it is now.

We did not have education, except for our reliance on the aid of sister countries in matters of education and schools, and after the declaration of the union, goodness dawned on us and brought us together, and it was the word of uniting our emirates, and we dreamed of reaching this day, but thanks to God and the efforts of the founding fathers led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, the union was like a full moon that came to us and radiated its light throughout the Emirates.

He added: «With this view and this historic day that we were waiting for, we have become today a standing and ambitious country that always looks to the future, so we have a prominent cultural role, in addition to many aspects that overlooked us, the first of which is electricity and the second of which are schools, because we did not previously have private schools in remote areas. And the desert, but science has become present in every region, and the infrastructure of the streets has advanced as well as housing, and now we choose public or private schools.

He continued: «On the other hand, income was limited before the union, but today the citizen has become dependent on God and then on himself.

The state did not neglect him, but rather gave him retirement, culture and self-confidence. The second era, during the era of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, witnessed an annual development for the state, ”noting that the difficulties faced by the leaders and founding fathers are the most difficult, especially since the renaissance started from scratch. Until today, the UAE has reached among the best in the world economically and scientifically.

And he continued: «The reason for this development is that the founding father was watching us until we educate our children, so that the state was providing us with school uniforms so that education would be compulsory and encouraging at the same time, until we became a country comparable to the countries of the world and competing for first place at all levels». We and our leadership are in one row and at the heart of one man, so we are still proud, building and establishing a long journey during which we do not stop at a certain limit.

The citizen, Dr. Khalifa bin Dalmouj, said that the day of the declaration of the union was a day of joy for us as citizens, as we finally saw the "light".

There is no comparison between what we were before and after the union, and the change for the better was rapid, as prosperity prevailed in the country and all means of decent living and vital facilities were available, and things began to improve in all respects, as roads were built that provided us with comfort.

He added: «The union contributed to the development of many matters such as education, roads, electricity, schools and cities, in addition to urban development, agriculture and even access to space.

So we had countless things, and now we entered the high-speed train system;

There is nothing left for the state to do and not do.”

He continued: «The best thing that the wise leadership of the state did was to work on all tracks in parallel and not in succession, and what we want is continuity and follow-up to develop further in the future, and for young people to look at what the state did during those years and work in the same approach, and develop themselves until they become the first Emirates worldwide at all levels.

For his part, citizen Abdullah Al-Dah said that the developments introduced by the UAE since its inception until this moment cannot be summed up in two words.

It needs books and to be taught to future generations, because development will continue, but growing up was the hardest step.

We are currently keeping pace with global development while preserving the Emirati identity.

The example was set by Al Ain city road from Dubai, where it was a desert with no end and no breaks in it, but today it has become different from what it was in the seventies, stressing that the founding fathers had farsightedness, and this was something that did not need to be studied but by instinct, so when a state was established The Emirates, headed by seven rulers, each of whom had a different view of life, whether on the social, economic or political level, which made the effort integrated in light of the presence of what distinguishes each emirate, and put the country on the map of international forums.

He emphasized that instinct was standardized by science.

Today, we have become a country that possesses a strong economy, good culture, civilization, and development. Today, when we walk on Sheikh Zayed Road or the Abu Dhabi Corniche, we say: “We were in one thing and we are in another.”

Countries that have completed hundreds of years have not reached what the United Arab Emirates has achieved in terms of infrastructure, road network, and progress at all levels.

And he continued, "We lived through the development in the UAE and followed the urban development in infrastructure, education, people and technology. We are among the first countries in the world to attract digital or technological development in the world, and today the UAE passport has become an honor for us as citizens in the world."

Citizen Ahmed Qayed recounted the memories of Union Day, saying: “These days passed like holidays, so we had simple capabilities and simple services, until today the state reached a stage of progress, services and community support;

Today, the goal of the state has become to achieve significant progress in services, transportation, roads and infrastructure. After the establishment of the federation, the state became strong and all aspects of life became easier.”

Citizen Mubarak, in black Mubarak, said that he is from the generation that witnessed the development since the establishment of the federation until reaching the stage of development now, indicating that he represented the UAE national football team among the first team for the national team after the establishment of the federation, considering that this is a matter of pride for him because it has become part of the history This young country.

He added: «When we went to the United States as students in the early seventies and they were asking us about our country and we told them from the UAE, people did not know anything about the newly established country, and we were trying to explain to them the location of the country, but now we have moved from the stage (no one knows us) to the stage (who does not know us);

The steps taken by the UAE, and this development that we have reached, we have witnessed, and we have seen how the country began and where it has reached now.

And he continued in Al-Aswad: «We lived this unique experience and we must complete it, and the advantage of the UAE is in the speed of decisions and their implementation. Al-Rasheeda is developed and aims to advance the country, as well as our international relations, as the Emirati passport has become among the strongest in the world.
