Twists and turnarounds

.

When all seems lost, the lions of Cameroon confirm their nickname in the field.

The match remained in a certain balance for most of the first half.

In the 11th minute, Mitrovic was served with his heel in the penalty area, overcame an opponent and shot from a tight angle but his left-footed shot hit the post.

Then in the 17th minute Mitrovic was again the protagonist but from a favorable position, in front of goal, he sent wide.

Cameroon responds in the 29th minute and finds the advantage with Castelletto, a player of Friulian origin, who takes advantage of Nkoulou's header from a corner, sending the ball into goal for the 1-0.

Serbia attacks at full strength looking for an equalizer, but Cameroon closes in their own half, nearly doubling the lead in the 43rd minute with Kunde who recovers the ball from the frontline and reaches the conclusion, rejected by Milinkovic-Savic right on the feet of the midfielder who tries shooting again, this time out of the mirror.

In full stoppage time, Serbia passes: in the 46th minute, a perfect cross from a free kick by Dusan Tadic and Pavlovic heads in, leaving the opposing goalkeeper motionless for a 1-1 draw.

A few minutes and Serbia doubled: in the 48th minute Milinkovic-Savic shot with his left foot from the edge of the area following an assist from Zivkovic, sending the ball into the bottom corner, where Epassy couldn't reach.

In the 51st minute Serbia close to three of a kind but Mitrovic's shot was deflected for a corner kick.

At the start of the second half, Serbia found the trio: in the 53rd minute this time Mitrovic made no mistake.

The Fulham striker closed a series of passes in the penalty area between Kostic, Milinkovic-Savic and Zivkovic without problems, a few steps from goal.

It seems finished but Stojkovic's team goes too far and Cameroon takes advantage of it.

In the 63rd minute Aboubakar reopened the challenge.

The Cameroon striker, who started on the offside line following a throw from Castelletto, lobbed past the Serbian goalkeeper.

The goal canceled at first is then validated by the Var.

In the 66th minute the equalizer arrives: again Aboubakar starts on the edge of offside, this time he doesn't get to shoot, but Choupo-Moting serves who puts the ball into the net to make it 3-3.

Serbia is not there and tries to win the match again.

In the 76th minute Mitrovic, served deep, reaches the conclusion from inside the penalty area but the shot is saved by Epassy.

Then Milinkovic-Savic tries with a right footed shot from the edge of the area but the ball ends up high over the crossbar.

In the final Mitrovic and Kostic try again but it's not enough.
