The population of Western countries bears heavy costs due to the military and financial assistance provided to Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia's military operation.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with Welt am Sonntag.

“Rising food and energy bills mean tough times for many households in Europe,” Stoltenberg said.

Despite this, he once again expressed the idea that the Kyiv regime must achieve victory over Russia on the battlefield.

“We can strengthen Ukraine's position at the negotiating table if we provide it with military support.

The best way to maintain peace is to support Ukraine,” the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance said.

At the same time, the American newspaper The New York Times, citing NATO representatives, noted that in general, the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance transferred weapons worth $40 billion to Ukraine, which is comparable to the annual military budget of France.

At the same time, 20 out of 30 members of the bloc have already "significantly exhausted themselves" in the issue of providing military assistance to the Kyiv regime.

In turn, The Economist writes that this year in Europe the relationship between electricity costs and the number of deaths may increase.

According to the publication's forecast, a harsh winter, coupled with rising energy prices, could lead to an additional death of 335,000 people, InoTV reports.

Earlier, Jens Stoltenberg noted that NATO should increase the volume of military assistance to Ukraine in order to establish an "acceptable peace" with Russia.

He also stated that the production of ammunition for Ukraine has expanded in Eastern Europe.

This comment by the Secretary General was appreciated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, who stated that NATO is "an accomplice in the crimes of the Kyiv regime."

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized, Brussels has long acquired this status.

“The European Union and NATO have long been hybrid participants in a hybrid conflict, a hybrid war in Ukraine,” he said at the G20 summit.

“There has simply never been such a crisis situation in the history of Europe”

Nine months later, NATO finally realized that the result of their support for the Kyiv regime was the deterioration in the situation of their own citizens, Igor Morozov, a political scientist and chairman of the coordinating committee for economic cooperation with African countries, noted in an interview with RT.

According to him, even a year or two ago, it was impossible to even think about the situation that Europe faced.

“Today we see: utility bills have reached their peak, there has simply never been such a crisis situation in the history of Europe.

The Europeans understand that it will become even harder in winter and that they have a new wave of Ukrainian refugees ahead of them.

The United States is in charge of everything, and it seems to me that the prolongation of the military conflict is beneficial only to them.

It was the States who did everything possible to keep Europe without gas.

Washington, in fact, began to get out of the recession, plunging the European Union into it.

And this is only the beginning of the crisis in the West,” the political scientist pointed out.

The conflict in Ukraine has become a goldmine for NATO officials who actively capitalize on the suffering of the Ukrainian people, political scientist Ruslan Balbek explained in a conversation with RT.

“Pumping Ukraine with weapons is a triumph of the lobbyists of the NATO military-industrial complex.

For the bloc's military industrialists, support for the Kyiv regime is associated with a waterfall of money.

Well, the secretary general of the alliance is just a “talking head” of those same lobbyists, his task is to fool Western society with beautiful words about protecting Ukrainian statehood.

So, without a doubt, for the ideologists and leaders of NATO, this conflict is golden, of course, in their favor, ”he said.
