His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the comprehensive plan for the development of the countryside and wilderness of Dubai, which extends over an area of 2,216 square kilometers, and includes areas such as: Lehbab, Margham, Al Marmoom, Al Lisaili, Al Faqaa, and Al Aweer, with the aim of Preserving its nature and providing all the services, facilities and needs necessary for the residents and visitors of the regions to enhance the quality of life, in addition to providing a distinguished tourist experience as one of the main tourist destinations in the emirate.
His Highness also approved a package of development projects and initiatives to support the rural and prairie areas in Dubai, in which the preservation of natural reserves and archaeological sites, support for farmers and local products, and the creation of investment opportunities for the people were taken into account, as the implementation of projects and initiatives will be supervised and governed through the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning. .
This came during the visit of His Highness, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, to the dunes platform in the Seih Al Salam area. Public parks will also be developed, and road works and traffic solutions will be improved to facilitate the movement of residents and visitors, in addition to developing a sustainable transportation system that includes direct buses from main stations to these areas, with designated spaces for bicycles and scooters.

And His Highness approved the Seih Al Salam (Route 1) project, which is a 100 km long road for vehicles and bicycles with a distinctive identity based on the principle of a “scenic route” and facilities aimed at providing an integrated tourism experience, and aims to increase activities, events and services that promote desert tourism, and provides opportunities investment for the people of the regions and supports local national projects to stimulate tourism and encourage entrepreneurs according to certain controls to preserve the nature of the regions and their distinctive identity.
The trail also includes a number of projects and initiatives, including the provision of facilities and services for visitors along the trail, the revival of heritage, the provision of excursions to the ancient site of Saruq Al-Hadid, the heritage village of Marmoum, the organization of horse and camel riding activities, and the provision of a desert walk experience.
Camps and lodges will be provided, consisting of glass domes (Domes) with panoramic windows, and open lounges to enjoy and stay beside the existing lakes in the region, and provide vertical balloons to see the area and see the view of the lakes from above to take souvenir photos, and provide rowing boats (kayak), and souvenir shops. And cafes near the lakes to enrich the experience of visitors.
The Seih Al Salam project (Route 1) will also include an outdoor cinema viewing experience through the Open Cinema initiative, in addition to holding events and art exhibitions, and defining an area designated for caravans (Caravan Park), by providing infrastructure and public facilities to receive parking for caravans.

The project also includes sports initiatives, such as skydiving, ballooning, safari activities, a club for remote control aircraft and cars, and the provision of the first dedicated path for wild desert means, bicycles and desert electric scooters, linking tourist attractions and integrated entertainment centers with the existing path for bicycles in Al Qudra.
