His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the comprehensive plan for the development of the countryside and wilderness of Dubai, which extends over an area of ​​2,216 square kilometers, and includes areas such as: Lehbab, Margham, Al Marmoom, Al Lisaili, Al Faqaa, and Al Aweer, with the aim of Preserving its nature and providing all the services, facilities and needs necessary for the residents and visitors of the regions to enhance the quality of life, in addition to providing a distinguished tourist experience as one of the main tourist destinations in the emirate.

His Highness also approved a package of development projects and initiatives to support the rural and prairie areas in Dubai, in which the preservation of natural reserves and archaeological sites, support for farmers and local products, and the creation of investment opportunities for the people were taken into account, as the implementation of projects and initiatives will be supervised and governed through the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning. .
