A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hits eastern Chile

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck eastern Chile today.

The US Geological Survey stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was on one of the Chilean islands located in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at a depth of 10 km, noting that there were no reports of material or human damage as a result of the earthquake.
