American scientists have created a variant of the coronavirus infection,

causing the death of 80% of laboratory animals.

This was stated by the head of the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov.

“In October, an artificial pathogen of coronavirus infection was created at Boston University based on the Omicron strain and the original Wuhan variant.

The modified virus obtained by the Americans caused the death of 80% of diseased model animals with the development of atypical neurological symptoms and severe lung damage, ”said Kirillov.

According to him, existing vaccines are ineffective against the new virus: “Checking the protective properties of antibodies showed an 11-fold decrease in their ability to neutralize the new pathogen.”

“The Boston Experiment shows that the United States lacks a system of state oversight of research and development work in the field of genetic engineering and synthetic biology,” said the head of the RCBZ.

He also noted that when analyzing the activities of biological laboratories in the United States, more than 200 violations of the basic principles of working with pathogens were recorded.

“The high risk of accidents in American biological laboratories is one of the reasons for their withdrawal from national jurisdiction and transfer to the territory of third countries, including Ukraine and other states.

This explains the worsening of the epidemic situation in their locations, the emergence of diseases and their vectors that are unusual for these regions,” Kirillov explained.

He also recalled that during the SVO, it became known about the implementation of the military biological programs of the Pentagon in Ukraine in violation of Articles 1 and 4 of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Biological and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction (BTWC).

According to an analysis of documents that were found in biolaboratories on Ukrainian territory, biological weapons components were being developed in “immediate proximity to the Russian borders”, which is confirmed by work contracts, approved registration cards, as well as reporting documentation from Pentagon contractors Black & Veatch and Metabiota .

“Of particular concern is the conduct, under the control of the US Department of Defense, of testing pathogens of infectious diseases and toxic substances on Ukrainian military personnel and the mentally ill, who are one of the most unprotected categories of citizens,” said the head of the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Russian Armed Forces.

Also, according to the Russian side, the military biological activities of the US biological laboratories in Ukraine raise questions even among Washington’s closest allies, despite the fact that Western countries actually sabotaged the vote on the UN Security Council resolution on an international investigation into the activities of these facilities.

Then the United States, France and Great Britain voted against the document, Russia and China supported its adoption.

At the same time, other countries, including India, Mexico and NATO member Norway, abstained from voting.

In addition, it is indicated that former US national security adviser John Bolton was a co-author of a document from 2000 on the need to create American bioweapons to ensure world leadership of the United States and to modernize the country's army.

At the same time, the current administration of the White House on October 18 published a new strategy to counter biological threats, the funding of which is estimated at $88 billion.

“One of the key directions of the Strategy is the improvement of methods of individual and collective biological protection of the personnel of the US armed forces in various theaters of military operations.

The task is to continue the study of pathogens of especially dangerous infectious diseases endemic to specific areas, ”Kirillov said.

In connection with all of the above, the Russian side proposes to take measures to unconditionally comply with the requirements of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Biological and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction.

First, to resume negotiations on the development of a legally binding protocol to the BTWC, which would take into account modern scientific and technological achievements in the field of biology and provide for an effective verification mechanism.

Second, complement the confidence-building measures with information about biosecurity research and development outside the national territory, as well as information about animal vaccine production facilities.

Thirdly, provide for the establishment of a scientific advisory committee to assess achievements in the field of science and technology relevant to the BTWC, which would have a broad geographical representation and equal rights of participants.

“The practical implementation of our proposals will help increase the “transparency” of national biological programs and the observance by all participating States, without exception, of the requirements of the Convention,” Kirillov stated.
