The Russian Embassy in Belarus called Makei's death an irreparable loss

“We are deeply shocked by the news of the death of the outstanding Belarusian diplomat, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Vladimirovich Makei,” the diplomatic mission quoted RIA Novosti as saying.

The embassy noted that Makei made a great contribution to strengthening relations between Russia and Belarus.
