The dining hall closed completely due to the pandemic and then reopened, but not on weekends, for financial reasons.

The municipality does not really have any responsibility to serve food at the shelter, but S and V now choose to set aside SEK 700,000 annually in their budget proposal for 2023-2025 to be able to keep the weekend open again.

- In dialogue with the residents, we hear that this is an important place for them to be able to meet and hang out.

So it's simply pressure, but also wishes from our residents and voters that the dining room should be open on weekends.

And then we have to make sure that it happens, we are appointed to make the Norwegians happy, says Johanna Odö (S).

The budget proposal has been prepared by S and V since before and is presented jointly despite the fact that the Left Party has chosen to go into opposition during this term.

On Monday, the municipal council will make a decision on the budget proposal.
