There are a lot of animals on location at the recording at Bohu's fortress in Kungälv.

Pigs, sheep, chickens, chickens, ducks and eight horses all have a part in the classic film with Astrid Lindgren as creator.

For many it is a fond childhood memory, but for the director it is actually not.

-I'm half-English so it wasn't part of my childhood but I hope to be able to contribute by telling the story, says director Lisa James Larsson

Recorded underground in Gothenburg

She and the lead actress Kerstin Linden have only known each other for six months but have developed a very good relationship during the filming.

The new TV series is filmed in Örebro and Lithuania, among other places, and some supporting scenes will be shot in the underground passages in central Gothenburg.

Anyone who wants to see the film has to be patient for a year.

Just in time for Christmas 2023, it's time for the premiere.
