Ukrainian forces retook Kherson two weeks ago.
Russia has subsequently responded with extensive robotic attacks on the city.
Governor Yaroslav Janusevych wrote on the messaging app Telegram that the city was shelled a total of 49 times and that robots, among other things, struck a residential area.
How many people died in the attacks is unclear, but according to AP it is at least five people.
