Roland Norrman (M), who was number one on the party's list during the election campaign and who received the most personal ticks, was set to be nominated for the post of municipal board chairman.

But now he is being pushed as a candidate by his own party.

A total of four of the seven moderate councilors, who have voting rights in the matter, voted instead for Eric Semb (M) as candidate for the post at Thursday's meeting.

"Fooled the voters"

Norrman is strongly critical of the result, as the party had previously let the personal polls control who would get the post.

- Now it feels like the voters have been cheated, I hate that kind of thing, he says.

Semb disagrees.

- There has never been a decision that the passenger crossing should rule.

The selection committee did not approve him, says Eric Semb (M).

However, the vote does not mean that Eric Semb (M) automatically gets the position as chairman of the municipal board.

It is finally up to the council to vote on December 20.
