Ambassador Nechaev reacted to the plans of the Bundestag to recognize the famine in the USSR as a "genocide of Ukrainians"

Earlier, a number of German media reported that on November 30, the Bundestag plans to discuss a resolution recognizing the Holodomor as genocide.

“This is an absolutely ahistorical approach, contrary to facts and common sense,” Nechaev wrote in an article for the Junge Welt newspaper.

The ambassador recalled that the famine was massive, as a result of which more than 7 million people died, including about 2.5 million in the territory of the RSFSR and 1.5 million in Kazakhstan.
