This is what we learn of the hearing that ended in Islamabad for the father of the 18-year-old, who disappeared in the night between April 30 and May 1, 2021 from Novellara.

Shabbar is accused by the Reggio Emilia prosecutor's office, directed by the prosecutor Gaetano Calogero Paci, of murder, kidnapping and suppression of a corpse in competition with four other family members.

The petition for Saman

"We also expect public institutions to give a strong signal, declaring a state funeral for Saman, killed at the age of 18 only because she wanted to defend the rights of second generations in Italy".

Thus the Pakistani journalist Ahmad Ejaz in a post on Facebook "His courage must not be forgotten - he continues - his death must not be in vain. Saman has no one in Italy for his funeral, therefore we must be his relatives, the his friends and loved ones".

In recent days, the journalist Ejaz, together with the Pakistani community and Italian civil society, had invited the signing of a petition launched on the Change.org platform, to ask for posthumous Italian citizenship to be conferred on Saman.
