An accident that occurred last Thursday at the border between the municipalities of Gien and Poilly-lez-Gien (Loiret) deprived the inhabitants of a street in the latter municipality of the internet.

Two crashes

The problem was reported to the operator who indicated that the situation would return to normal by December 8.

In reality, the malfunction also stems from a first accident that occurred at the end of September.

The same cable and the same pole had already been damaged by one of the many exceptional convoys which cross this axis.

The pole "was patched up with straps attached to the wall of a house in Poilly to keep it roughly plumb, although the cable […] sank a few tens of centimeters", explained a resident. .

In view of the inconvenience caused, some local residents recommend raising the poles or passing the cables underground to avoid this type of problem in the future.

Concerning this last solution, the operator explained that it did not have the competence, this one being devolved to the communities.
