According to France Insoumise, Adrien Quatennens, deputy from the North, was preparing his return to the National Assembly for the next few days.

Since he had revealed that he had slapped his wife during a marital dispute, he had withdrawn from public life, until the justice gave its conclusions on this case.

However, the revelations, yesterday, Wednesday, November 23, of his companion, Céline, considerably complicated this return.

The "big unpacking" of Ms Quatennens causes the embarrassment of the Nupes, writes

Le Parisien

.

"Repeated physical and moral violence for several years", according to the complainant.

Heavy accusations, immediately denied by Mr. Quatennens, but which jeopardize his return to the hemicycle and even in political life.

On the left, the socialists and several environmental tenors demand his final departure.

Even within La France insoumise, where the case is debated, female figures, essentially, wonder about this supposed return, according to

Liberation

.

Some consider him "burnt" politically.

One of them sums up his position very well: "Adrien Quatennens has not been there for a long time and it is very good like that."

In Ukraine, drinking water and electricity are becoming rare commodities in several major cities of the country.

The

Wall Street Journal

takes a long look at this new Russian strategy;

after the military failures, the Russian army is reduced to striking civilian installations, the newspaper reports.

This strategy aims to crack the population as winter sets in across the country, writes The

New York Times

.

By deliberately targeting civilians, Russia is behaving like a "rogue state", according to

La Croix,

which speaks, explicitly, of "war crimes".

The newspaper welcomes the decision of the European Parliament to qualify Russia as a "promoter of terrorism".

"It won't change the course of the war, but it does call for a spade, a spade," the editorial concludes.

The European Space Agency unveiled its new promotion of astronauts yesterday and, among them, there is a Frenchwoman.

It is only the second French woman to become an astronaut, 37 years after Claudie Haigneré, recalls

Le Parisien

.

Sophie Adenot joins the astronaut corps of ESA, the European Space Agency.

"A dream come true" for this very experienced helicopter pilot.

She will follow, from next year, a long training.

But it will have to wait several years before hoping to join the International Space Station.

His predecessor, Thomas Pesquet, had waited seven years before flying into space.
