"Insulting and undermining the Iranian national football team and propaganda against the Islamic Republic", with this accusation the security forces arrested the popular Iranian football player Voria Ghafouri.
Ghafouri was explicit in supporting the protesters, especially the people of Kurdistan, targeted by the repression of the Pasdarans on the border with Iranian Kurdistan, the region of origin of Mahsa Amini, the 22-year-old Kurdish who died last September 16, while in the custody of the morality police for not wearing the mandatory Islamic veil correctly in the Middle Eastern country.
