The 34-year-old patient had been admitted to the emergency room on the night of October 27 to 28 following a head trauma after feeling unwell, explained to AFP Me Laura Abecassis, confirming information from Parisian and RMC .

Around 4:00 a.m., a nurse surprised a man in the young woman's cubicle, raping her with his fingers while she was asleep, then saw him flee, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Thanks to the description of the caregiver and the patient, the man was quickly arrested not far from the hospital by the anti-crime brigade (Bac) of the 14th arrondissement of the capital, shortly after 5:00 a.m., according to the same source.

According to RMC and Le Parisien, the man was carrying the victim's credit card.

He was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention as part of a judicial investigation opened on October 30 for rape committed by a person under the influence of narcotics, theft and fraud, according to a judicial source.

The suspect, known by several identities, was under two obligations to leave the territory (OQTF) under two different names, the last dated July, according to information from RMC and Le Parisien confirmed by police sources.

"It's a double trauma for my client, the rape itself and the circumstances. She wants to go all the way, to understand how these extremely serious facts could have happened like that in a public service", commented Me Abecassis.
