The Jerusalem Post, citing a preliminary judgment by Israeli police, said the first explosion appeared to have been caused by a bomb placed in a bag near the bus.

Jerusalem police chief Kobi Shabtai said police would search every bus in Jerusalem and use sniffer dogs across the country to search for explosives.
