From Western policies, which party deserves to be supported by the Arabs: the West or Russia?
The writer and analyst Thaer Al-Nashif stands on the side of those who oppose Arab betting and relying on Russia in Arab issues, because this state will not provide them with anything, and because it has committed more than 6,943 massacres and attacks on civilian facilities against the Syrians, and launched 237 raids with cluster bombs, and more than 130 with incendiary bombs. It used various types of new weapons before they were put on the market, as well as its absurd war in Ukraine and the massacres it commits there.
And Russia is manipulating the feelings of the Arabs because it knows that they are frustrated with Western policies, and it is one of the largest countries aligned with Israel and does not have the full capabilities to rely on it, and it will not be a pole parallel to the United States of America, according to Al-Nashif, who believes that the Arabs are closer to Western culture that is considered the path of development, than to them to Russian culture, as evidenced by the fact that those who speak English are much more than those who speak Russian.
The Arabs are allied with America because it allows them to diversify their international relations, unlike Russia, which treats its allies as lackeys and humiliates them.
Al-Nashif gave - in his interview with the "The Opposite Direction" program - an example of Qatar, which refused normalization with Israel, and yet its ally, the United States, did not pressure it to follow the example of the normalizing countries in the region.

Russia revolts against American hegemony
On the other hand, the advisor to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud al-Afandi, is entrenched in the ranks of the defenders of Russia, and considers that it presents to the world and the Arab countries what he called a "revolution" to get rid of American hegemony, and provides economic justice to the Arab countries, with evidence that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is approaching Russia and struck a show. Contradicting the American position on gas prices, in addition to the fact that the Arab countries did not implement the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia.
