Imposing build and scowl, Claude Pivi, alias "Grand Co", was an influential member of the regime of

Moussa Dadis Camara

.

Victims of the September 28, 2009 massacre, when more than 150 people were killed by Guinean security forces during an opposition rally, said they saw him at the stadium with his men.

However, this childhood friend of the head of the junta affirms that he was aware of nothing.

"

People started shouting:

'There are soldiers who shot at the population at the stadium.'

I said

"Oh?"

“, he assures the bar of the criminal court of Dixinn.

Early in the morning of September 28, 2009, he was on a mission outside Conakry, he said.

It is when he wakes up in the evening that he becomes aware of what has just happened.

We were very loved, I heard on television that we were dirty and I said to myself that it was not normal.

I saw the president and I asked him who had sent soldiers on a mission to the stadium, he replied that he did not know anything about it

, ”he recalls.

In the military camps of Conakry, the rumor then designates Toumba and Marcel, says Pivi, who denies all the facts with which he is accused.

The testimonies, however, are overwhelming, the prosecutor reminds him.

You did not visit Donka hospital after the events of September 28

 ,” questions the magistrate.

I've never been to Donka

," replies Claude Pivi.

The appearance of Claude Pivi must resume this Wednesday, November 23.
