Russia's state-owned gas company has said it may cut the supply of natural gas from a pipeline to Ukraine's neighbor Moldova.

Moldova, which depends on Russia for natural gas, is expected to shake things up as winter approaches and energy demand rises.

Gazprom, a Russian government-owned gas company, has issued a statement saying that there is a gap between the amount of natural gas supplied to Moldova via pipelines from Ukraine and the amount that reaches Moldova. Announced on the 22nd.

In the form of claiming that some of the gas remains in Ukraine, which is a transit port, Russia will reduce the supply to Moldova from the 28th of this month if this problem is not resolved.

A Ukrainian company that transports natural gas countered in a statement on the 22nd, saying that all natural gas from Russia was shipped to Moldova.

"This is not the first time Russia has used gas for political pressure. It is manipulating the facts," he said.

Moldova's current government has taken a pro-Western stance and criticized Russia for its military invasion of Ukraine.

Moldova depends on Russia for the natural gas consumed domestically, and as winter arrives and the demand for energy increases, Russia seems to have the aim of shaking Moldova.
