“Representatives of the European Union will visit Washington on December 5 to express the concern of the Europeans in connection with the American law to reduce inflation.

The Europeans must give a joint response to this law," TASS quoted the French minister as saying.

According to him, the European Union should not abandon measures to protect European industry.

Habek added that the US law is contrary to the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the law adopted by the Joe Biden administration, calling it unfriendly and inconsistent with WTO standards.

European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton said the European Union will be forced to take action in response to the law.

The document, in particular, provides for tax incentives that encourage the purchase of only those electric vehicles that were assembled in the United States and which contain batteries assembled using American components.
