Asta himself was on his way in the direction of Karlskoga with his two friends when they suddenly saw a car driving on the other side of the railing towards the traffic in the other lane.
- We called the police, who said we should try to drive after the car and blink to warn the other cars in the lane, she says.
But despite both them and other cars trying to honk at the car driving in the wrong direction, the journey continued for several minutes before the driver finally collided with another car.
No one seriously injured
By then, seven minutes had passed since Asta and her friends first called 112, Asta says.
- We stopped and jumped out of our car to help the driver get out of his car.
The person was shocked so we and other motorists took care of the person until the ambulance arrived.
All people involved in the crash escaped without serious injuries.
The driver who drove the car in the wrong direction is suspected of negligence in traffic.
SVT Nyheter Örebro has been in contact with the driver of the oncoming vehicle who says that everyone in that car received minor injuries and according to the circumstances are fine.
