According to two recent studies, the French generally opt for insecure passwords on the internet.

To guard against any hacking attempt, it is recommended to mix numbers, upper and lower case letters or other special characters and to choose a sufficiently long password.

The French are not the world champions of internet security.

In any case, this is revealed by two recent studies according to which our passwords are not sufficiently secure on the whole.

They would mostly be too easy to decipher.

In France, many of us opt for the classic "123456" or its nine-character variant "123456789".

In third position, comes "azerty", in reference to the first three letters of our numeric keyboards.

In summary, the French are stingy with effort when it comes to choosing a password.

Numbers, special characters and capital letters are your allies

In the majority of cases, if a hacker decides to hack us, he will not encounter major difficulties.

For example, if you choose "loulou" without capitals or special characters, a hacker can decipher it instantly.

On the other hand, if the password consists of numbers, special characters or other capital letters, it will take about three weeks.

The ideal, therefore, for a practically inviolable password is to add this clever mix of capital letters, numbers and symbols.

It must also be sufficiently long with at least eleven characters.
