A strong earthquake shook buildings in Jakarta Indonesia.

The earthquake - with a magnitude of 5.6 - shook the Indonesian capital for a few seconds.

This was reported by the Indonesian Agency for Climate and Geophysics (BMKG), according to which the epicenter of the earthquake was on the mainland, near the city of Cianjur, about 100 kilometers from the capital.

There is no tsunami risk.

Some people evacuated workplaces in Jakarta's central business district while others reported feeling buildings shaking and seeing furniture move.
