Lead] Five people have been killed and 18 injured so far in a shooting at an LGBTQ club in the United States.

The police are investigating the exact motive of the crime, but they are not ruling out the possibility that it is a hate crime targeting LGBTQ people.

At 11:57 p.m. local time last night (the 20th) in the United States, a shooting occurred at a club in Springs, Colorado.



This club is a favorite place for LGBTQ people, and at the time of the incident, events were being held here to commemorate LGBTQ victims of various types of violence.



Police dispatched after receiving a report arrested Anderson Lee Aldrich, a man believed to be in his 20s, at the scene.

According to witnesses, Aldrich is known to have opened fire upon entering the club.



At least five people have been killed and 18 injured so far in the accident.



It almost led to serious casualties, but police determined that witnesses within the club subdued Aldrich early on.

The police are continuing to investigate the exact motive of the crime without ruling out the possibility of a hate crime targeting LGBT people.



A total of 49 people were killed in a 2016 shooting at a gay nightclub in Florida.
