“The presidential elections open a new political era, and in the future all the main institutions of power will be reformed,” RIA Novosti quoted Tokayev as saying during a speech to members of the headquarters.
According to exit polls, Tokayev wins the election with 82.45% of the vote.
Earlier, the head of the department of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan, Azamat Sargazin, said that the presidential elections were held in a calm atmosphere.
