Israeli newspapers, in coordination with Western media, attacked Qatar's hosting of the World Cup, hours before the opening match whistle blew.

This attack continued for 12 years, from the first day of the announcement of Qatar hosting the World Cup, and was accompanied by campaigns opposing hosting.

The attacks varied between press reports carrying inaccurate information about Qatar and its dealings with labor in the construction of World Cup stadiums, and between cartoons, and so on.

Many Israeli newspapers published cartoons against Qatar, such as Yedioth Ahronoth, Israel Today, and the Hebrew newspaper Globes.

Articles and columns by Israeli journalist writers were also published, such as what Ben Doro Yemini wrote, saying: “Welcome to the World Cup of Shame.” He added, “The dark countries will become the brightest in the coming month. Qatar is an enemy country, not only for the presence of the instigating Al-Jazeera channel in it, but because it is support radical Islam.

In turn, the "Globes" newspaper published an article entitled "Before kick-off in Doha: The dark side of football celebrations in Qatar."

While the Israeli Channel 13 called for refraining from traveling to the World Cup, through a report entitled "Four reasons not to travel to the World Cup in Qatar."

Also from the land of Qatar, an Israeli channel participated in the media campaign against it, when an Israeli broadcaster hosted the Colombian singer Maluma, who performs one of the main songs of the World Cup, but Maluma was forced to withdraw after he described the presenter as rude!

However, the Arab tweeters had a different opinion, and the episode (20/11/2022) of the “Networks” program monitored the Arab interaction with what was published by the Israeli media, where Reda Yassin confirmed that the Israeli attack is evidence that Qatar is moving in the right direction, so he wrote, “The Zionist entity continues By inciting against Qatar, this means that it is on the right path."

While Adham Abu Selmiya accused the Zionist entity of running the campaign of incitement against Qatar, he said, "The Zionist entity is one of the most dangerous instigators against Qatar in partnership with Arab and Western countries. This Zionist hatred stems from the desire not to show a bright image of this region."

In turn, Laila Abu Zaid believes that the Zionist attack is behind the campaign against Qatar, so she tweeted, "If you search Qatar in the future after the success of its organization of the World Cup, God willing, you will find that behind the campaign of evil in all countries is the Zionist lobby, and you can prosecute it if you find evidence of its false distortion." ".

As for Muhammad Eid, he asserts that the Arab success is a failure of the Zionist thought. He wrote, "The conflict with an Israeli enemy is not only a military conflict. Our struggle is cultural and economic. Every Arab success is a failure of the Zionist thought that follows (which) contributed to the distortion of the Arab homeland. Thank you, Qatar."
