The protest extends more and more into the world of sport.

After the positions taken by the players involved in Qatar, it is now the turn of a women's basketball team: a group photo without the hijab.

There are thirteen athletes and three coaches from Canco Canada BC, the photo is posted on Instagram by coach Farzaneh Jamami who writes:

Teach your daughter that things like gender roles are nothing but nonsense.

You are precious and irreplaceable.

If they tell you otherwise, don't believe them.

Tell them "don't hide. Stand up, hold your head up and show them what you can do! Tell them you are powerful and capable you are a woman of freedom.

Even from boxing there is a voice of dissent: the president of Federboxe Hossein Souri, who is in Spain for the Junior World Championships, has announced his decision not to return to Iran.

I have decided not to return to be the voice of those who are not listened to by the authorities.

Especially the people of Sistan-Balochistan where dozens of innocent people were killed (80 according to some NGOs).

I could no longer serve, in my beloved country, a system that easily spills the blood of human beings"

The spokesman of Federboxe, Issa Golmohammadi, dissociated himself: "He could have resigned instead of going to Spain and leaving the team in the middle of the tournament".
