With the end of the first semester, private schools in the Northern Emirates decided to conduct paper-based exams.

And she confirmed that students are prohibited from bringing electronic and smart devices such as “mobile phones”, “tablets”, “laptops” and “bluetooth” headphones at the end of the first semester exams, stressing the need for students to commit to bringing their pens with them, and not to borrow them from their colleagues.

The decision to conduct paper exams included all academic levels, attributing its decision to combating fraud.

Private schools said that the decision represents a practical response to the students' parents' desire to repeat paper-based exams to develop their children's writing skills and monitor their levels.

She explained that she had informed the students' families via text messages that it is forbidden for students to bring any electronic or smart devices to the exams at the end of the first semester, because the exams will be paper based, based on the suggestions and opinions she received from them during the meetings she held with them at the beginning of this month.

And she confirmed changing the electronic exams policy, which she had been working with since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, and she was adopting the system of choices without the student writing any answer, which allowed the student to know his grade as soon as he clicked on the word “finished” through the electronic system.

She pointed out that re-exams will determine the level of students in writing and develop their thinking skills.

She stated that the exam period will remain the same as it was in the electronic exams, with a duration of two hours, and starts from eight thirty in the morning and continues until ten thirty.

And she added that the exam papers will be distributed immediately after the start of the exams, and they will be withdrawn from the students after the specified time ends.

She emphasized that the students' handwriting in writing exams is included in the grades, and that any question whose answer is not clear will be considered wrong, and that students should write the answers clearly so that the teachers can read them well.

And she continued, "No student will be allowed to take any pens or supplies from his colleagues, and students must bring additional pens with them to avoid any obstacles during exam performance."

She explained that students must come half an hour before the appointment, and that any delay in attendance is at the expense of the student, and at the expense of the exam time, and the exam time will not be extended for any student who is late without an acceptable excuse.
