Five months after hosting the NATO Summit in Madrid, the Royal Palace has reopened its doors to receive the participants in the

annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly

Felipe VI has affirmed that the summit that was held in Madrid last June "has

reaffirmed the principles and values

He has also opined that the new Strategic Concept that was signed after the summit "provides us

with the necessary strength to defend

ourselves against the challenges of the coming decades."

Regarding these challenges, the King referred to "from cyberspace to outer space, from maintaining the cutting edge of technological advances to energy, from terrorism to the impact of climate change on security."

Don Felipe wanted to end his words by recalling "the extraordinary and exemplary

work of the troops
