Despite the protracted organizational chaos, a historic decision was made overtime during COP27 to replace the countries most affected by climate change.

Early on Sunday morning, after a hard night of mangling, the countries of the world were finally able to jointly adopt a final document for the climate meeting in Egypt.

One of the more attention-grabbing points at the climate meeting is an agreement on a fund for "loss and damage", or the climate damage fund as it has come to be called, where richer countries must pay poorer countries for damages caused by climate change.  

Despite the historic breakthrough, no one was really satisfied because they did not reach further when it comes to limiting emissions, says SVT's reporter on the spot Susan Ritzen.
