Ankara expressed hope that the results of the presidential race would benefit the fraternal Kazakh people.

Earlier, the head of the department of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan, Azamat Sargazin, said that the presidential elections were held in a calm atmosphere.

According to Konstantin Petrov, deputy chairman of the CEC of the republic, the turnout for the extraordinary presidential elections in the country after the closing of polling stations throughout the country amounted to 69.43%.
