Since 2018, the project "We are needed!"

run by the organization Fryshuset with funding from the Norwegian Agency for Community Safety and Preparedness (MSB).

The project is aimed at young people between the ages of 16-24 and the idea is that they should have more desire and knowledge to help in society.

"Young people are often overlooked"

In education, a crisis does not have to be about a major disaster such as a war or pandemic, but can be about smaller problems that can be solved with the help of conflict management or initiatives.

For example, homework help has started in a vulnerable area in Stockholm to encourage young people to dare to believe in themselves.

- We are facing many different crises in society.

Then we need all the people we have to be able to make a difference and impact.

Young people are often overlooked then, says project manager at Fryshuset Shade Amao Forssman.

Start-up in Bankeryd

The training runs for one semester and this weekend the various groups from the country gather for a joint meeting at Vidablick in Bankeryd outside Jönköping.

After the course, there is an opportunity to go on to further education and become an ambassador in crisis preparedness outside the country.

In the clip, you see young people taking part in the course.
