Bad weather continues to scourge Campania.

The Salerno municipalities of Agropoli and Castellabate are most affected by the heavy rains.

In Cilento, where today there is an orange weather alert as in the whole region, a water bomb has hit which is causing various inconveniences to the population.

In Castellabate there is damage to roads, landslides, flooding and inconvenience.

The municipality has asked all citizens to "remain in their homes and avoid any unnecessary and urgent movement" and "recommend abandoning basements and basements and ground floors most at risk of flooding. Interventions and operations are underway throughout the territory for safety, for which maximum collaboration is required from everyone, also in order not to hinder operations".

Even in Agropli it is advisable to stay at home, as action is being taken in various parts of the city to remedy the various problems resulting from the water bomb.

The rain, which fell profusely for about an hour and a half during the morning, flooded a large part of the Cilento center.

In the heart of the town, the Testene river overflowed, flooding the surrounding areas and creating severe inconvenience in particular to the Liceo Classico A. Gatto where the internal courtyard was filled with water and mud.

Great inconvenience in the suburbs, both in the Moio area and near the hamlet of Mattine, where water has invaded fields, streets and basements.

Firefighters, Forest Guard, Civil Protection, Carabinieri and Municipal Police intervened on the spot.

In these hours the situation is gradually improving.
