The UAE participates as a guest country in the "Moscow Formula" consultations on Afghanistan

The UAE participated in the fourth session of the "Moscow Formula" consultations on Afghanistan, which was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, as a guest country, with the participation of 13 countries, which are, in addition to Russia, the host country: China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. And Kyrgyzstan. As for the countries that attended as guests besides the UAE, they are: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey.

The Deputy Ambassador of the UAE to the Russian Federation, Hamad Rashid Al Habsi, delivered a speech before the consultation session, in which he thanked Russia for inviting the UAE to participate, which is an appreciation for its important role, as he reaffirmed the position of the UAE, which urges the international community to cooperate in resolving the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. And to extend relief assistance to the Afghan people to provide them with decent livelihoods, pointing to the UAE's support for the Afghan people, and its support for international efforts aimed at building a more sustainable future for them.

He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to restore stability and recovery in Afghanistan in cooperation with regional and international partners, and the importance of concerted efforts by the international community to achieve the interests of the Afghan people and improve their living conditions.

He reaffirmed the firm position of the UAE in its strong condemnation and permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to destabilize security and stability and are inconsistent with all human values ​​and principles.

Al Habsi stated that the UAE has extended a helping hand and assistance to the Afghan people as part of a firm commitment to this friendly people, as it has provided over the past few years aid of more than 6.2 billion UAE dirhams, with the aim of providing food, improving health services, water and sanitation, housing, and education, along with Paying special attention to women and children, stressing the importance of ensuring education for girls.

Al Habsi reviewed the UAE's relief efforts to help the Afghan people, pointing to the country's launch of a humanitarian air bridge to meet the needs of Afghan families, as it provided more than 285 tons of food and urgent medical supplies.
