The National Council elects observers and forms its permanent committees

Monday's session includes briefing the parliament on draft laws received from the government.

The Federal National Council will hold its first session of its fourth regular session for the 17th legislative term, on Monday, in Zayed Hall at the Council's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, headed by Saqr Ghobash, Chairman of the Council.

According to the session's agenda, Khaled Omar Rashid Al-Kharji will take the constitutional oath as a member of the Council, to succeed member Ali Jassim Al Ali, may God have mercy on him.

During the session, observers are elected and the council’s committees are formed, namely: the Constitutional, Legislative and Appeal Affairs Committee, the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee, the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee, the Technology, Energy and Mineral Resources Affairs Committee, the Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Media Affairs Committee, and the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee. The Social Affairs, Labor, Population and Human Resources Committee, the Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Public Utilities Committee, and the Complaints Committee.

The Council is also informed of draft laws received from the government.
