Both weapons and drugs have been seized in Stockholm, its southern suburbs and in Mälardalen following the police's reconnaissance and investigation against serious criminals, the police write on their website.

Through aggressive work over a longer period of time, we have now obtained a very good result, says Susanne Wikland, acting deputy head of the Stockholm city police area.

The police have seized 165 kilograms of cannabis and 42 kilograms of cocaine, and the investigation has several criminal classifications.

According to the police, the most serious of several classifications in the case are extremely serious drug crime and extremely serious weapons crime.

The investigation is led by the prosecutor, and due to its "nature and its requirement for pre-investigation confidentiality, no further information will be shared and no other comments will be given," the police write.
