The Ukrainian military committed a deliberate murder of captured Russian servicemen, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported, commenting on a video circulating in social networks with the execution of surrendered soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces by members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The brutal murder of Russian prisoners of war is not the first and not the only war crime.

This is a common practice in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, actively supported by the Kyiv regime and not noticed point-blank by its Western patrons.

But Zelensky and his henchmen will have to answer before the court of history, the peoples of Russia and Ukraine for everyone and for every tortured and killed prisoner, ”the message says.

The department pointed out that the deliberate and methodical murder of more than ten immobilized Russian soldiers with direct shots in the head by “geeks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” could not be presented as a “tragic exception” against the background of the alleged general observance of the rights of prisoners of war by the Kyiv regime.

“The published new video evidence of the mass bloody massacre of Ukrainian military personnel over unarmed Russian prisoners of war confirms the knackery essence of the current Kyiv regime headed by Zelensky and those who protect and support him,” the Ministry of Defense stressed.

At the same time, the defense department noted that the Ukrainian military who surrendered are being held in accordance with all the requirements of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the recording was another proof of "the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, Ukraine's gross violation of international humanitarian law."

“Each atrocity committed by Ukrainian armed groups will not go unpunished.

All those guilty and involved in the crimes will be identified and will suffer the punishment they deserve.

No one will escape retribution, ”the Foreign Ministry said.

On November 18, a video recording began to circulate on the network, in which Ukrainian fighters shoot Russian soldiers when they had already surrendered and lay down on the ground.

Another video clip taken from a drone shows the bodies of the dead.

The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on this fact under the articles “Murder of two or more persons committed by a group of persons in connection with their official activities” and “Ill-treatment of prisoners of war, the use of prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict.”

“At the moment, military investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation are taking measures to identify the persons who filmed the brutal video.

Other investigative and operational measures are being carried out in full to establish all the circumstances of the incident, ”the message says.

In turn, the acting head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, said that the names and surnames of the Ukrainian military who massacred Russian soldiers are known.

“Inhumans have signed their own verdict.

They will be found and punished to the full extent of wartime, ”the Telegram channel of the Zvezda TV channel quotes him as saying.

Valery Fadeev, chairman of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society and human rights (HRC), noted that published videos of the execution of Russian prisoners of war will be sent to international organizations with a demand for investigation.

“This is a demonstrative, defiant crime.

Violation of all possible conventions prohibiting the cruel treatment of prisoners of war, international law and simply morality.

We will demand a reaction from the international community and an investigation, and I no longer have such a pessimistic view on this, ”Fadeev said.

According to him, data on the execution will also be sent to 2,000 addresses, including the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, Amnesty International, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations, as well as directly to politicians, ambassadors , journalists and human rights activists.

At the same time, the Ombudsman of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Daria Morozova also sent appeals to the UN and the ICRC.

“I expect an objective hearing.

If the authenticity of the shooting is confirmed, we demand a proper response from the international human rights community to the egregious war crime committed by representatives of the armed forces of Ukraine, ”TASS quotes her.

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is already aware of this incident.

“I have contacted colleagues who say they are aware of these videos and are studying them,” UN press officer Elizabeth Trossell said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
