The UAE welcomes the extension of the grain export agreement between Russia and Ukraine
The UAE welcomed the extension of the implementation of this agreement by the parties to the "Safe Shipping of Grains and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian Ports" agreement for an additional four months, and appreciated the unremitting efforts made by the Republic of Turkey and the United Nations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation indicated in a statement that this extension is a positive step that will contribute to facilitating the transportation of grain from Ukraine and Russia across the Black Sea and alleviating food shortages around the world.
The Ministry stated that the UAE expresses its appreciation to both the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Ukraine for their response to these efforts, expressing its hope that these endeavors will contribute to the establishment of peace between the two countries, stressing the importance of converging views to prevail stability and peace at the regional and international levels.
