According to the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, quoted by TASS, the leaders of the EU countries will have to take responsibility for the failure of the anti-Russian course if they recognize the ineffectiveness of the sanctions imposed.

Szijjarto stressed that in such a scenario, the leaders supporting the sanctions on Russia should admit that it was their actions that led to the downturn in the European economy and resign.

“This would be a normal reaction of those who harmed Europe by imposing sanctions,” he concluded.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned that EU anti-Russian sanctions do not achieve their goal of hurting Russia and only weaken the European economy.
