  Recently, the "Power of Youth Survey" (3,210 young people participated) conducted by the Social Survey Center of China Youth Daily and the questionnaire website (wenjuan.com) showed that 39.6% of the interviewed youths would choose second-tier cities as their place of residence in five years' time .

Regarding the living conditions in the next five years, 54.2% of the interviewed youths think that they are hard-working and enterprising, and 46.8% of the interviewed youths think that they are independent.

  Born in the 1980s, Huang Zeying is a researcher at the Food and Nutrition Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and has settled in Beijing.

  After graduating from Beijing Normal University this year, 23-year-old Wang Le went to Chengdu to become a high school teacher.

Regarding the future city of residence, Wang Le chose Chengdu without hesitation.

"I grew up in Sichuan since I was a child. I have lived here for more than 20 years. I have deep feelings and are very familiar with the environment, climate, and customs." Wang Le feels that Chengdu, as a big city in the western region, provides development opportunities There are many, and the development platform is also very broad. "Now many young people in Sichuan will choose to find a job in Chengdu, and they can also grow here."

  Sun Kai, who is a junior at Chongqing University of Technology, hopes to stay in Chongqing after graduation. He lives in Dazhou, Sichuan, and he feels that the culture of Chongqing is similar to his hometown, so there will be no discomfort. “Chongqing is more friendly to foreigners. For example, the public rental housing policy allows non-locals to have the opportunity to live and work in peace.”

  According to the survey, 39.6% of the interviewed youths choose the second-tier cities, 30.2% of the interviewed youths choose the first-tier cities, 20.9% of the interviewed youths choose the third- and fourth-tier cities, and 9.4% of the interviewed youths choose the county towns for the cities they will settle in after five years. or rural.

  Seven years ago, Zhang Wang, born in the 90s, chose to return to his hometown of Yulin, Shaanxi after graduating from university. He is now married and has children.

In Zhang Wang's view, Yulin has changed a lot in recent years. "The Mu Us Desert has been well managed. There has been more rain, the climate has become wetter, and the environment has become better and better."

Zhang Wang believes that when choosing a city to settle in, besides the degree of development and employment opportunities, happiness is also a very important indicator. "For me, Yulin is a city with a high sense of happiness."

For future development, Sun Kai has a clear career plan and hopes to work in court or patent agency.
