In detail, the case papers stated that a Dubai police force was carrying out a routine combing and inspection campaign in the area of ​​jurisdiction at night, and saw a person running a game in a public place available to the public, so a policeman came forward disguised in civilian clothes, and claimed to the accused that he wanted to play, and asked him about the conditions required to participate.

Investigations indicated that the accused explained to him the method of playing, which is to bring a set of dice and a planet, and the player receives the dice and puts it inside the cup and turns it over. If the numbers are sequential, he wins 10 dirhams, and if they are not, he loses his money.

In his testimony to the investigations of the Public Prosecution, the policeman said that the accused was seized, and the tools found in his possession were confiscated, including an electric lamp he used to light an area in the street that he turned into a gambling circuit, stressing that he was managing and organizing the gambling game on his own, and 20 dirhams were found in his possession as the proceeds of the game.

When asked by the accused, he stated that he was caught in a public place, indicating that he turned the sidewalk behind a hotel to organize a gambling game, targeting people of his nationality.

And the court stated in its merits that what was proven from the case papers, the statement of the prosecution witness, and the defendant’s confessions was his conviction of managing and organizing a gambling game in a public place open to the public, without discrimination, in return for obtaining sums of money, and it ruled that he be imprisoned for three months, fined 100 thousand dirhams, and deported from the state.
