On November 15, explosions thundered in many large cities of Ukraine, and problems with energy supply are observed in a number of regions of the country, local media and officials write.

As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an appeal on his Telegram channel, 85 missile strikes were allegedly carried out across the country.

According to the Ukrainian leader, as a result of these strikes, energy facilities in many cities of the country were turned off.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian media reported that the air raid alert worked in all regions of the country for six hours.

According to Ukrenergo, hits on the country's energy infrastructure facilities have been recorded, but the level of damage in the company cannot yet be assessed.

At the same time, it is specified that the most difficult situation with energy supply is observed in the northern and central regions of the country.

The media also cite the statements of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko.

From these messages it follows that the minister assesses the situation with electricity in the country as critical.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, said that due to a massive missile attack, power engineers began to cut off electricity throughout the country, including in the Ukrainian capital.

According to Klitschko, this step is necessary to avoid equipment accidents.

According to preliminary data from the mayor of Kyiv, at least half of the inhabitants of the capital of Ukraine were left without electricity.

In turn, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovoy, said that a very difficult situation is observed in the city.

According to him, public utilities are switching to the use of diesel generators.

In addition, trams and trolleybuses do not run in the city.

In addition, the Ukrainian railway operator reports that due to strikes on the territory of Ukraine, a number of trains are delayed.

It is noted that the operator has also prepared reserve diesel locomotives for flights, the movement of which may be affected by the lack of electricity.

Along with this, there are reports of interruptions in communications and the Internet in Ukraine.

According to the NetBlocks service, the level of network connectivity in Ukraine is 67% of the previous figures.

Recall that on November 14, Ukrenergo reported that one of the key energy facilities of Ukraine had received serious damage the previous week.

The most difficult situation, according to Ukrenergo, was observed in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions, where planned and emergency shutdowns operate.

The company quoted the statement of the chairman of the board of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky, according to whom "no energy system has been subjected to such large-scale damage that the Ukrainian energy sector has suffered since October 10."

According to him, it is not yet possible to talk about the complete elimination of these damages.

He also stated that planned power cuts would apply until power was restored from other regions of the country.

It should be noted that during October, Russian troops carried out a series of massive strikes with high-precision weapons on various objects on the territory of Ukraine.

For the first time, the Ministry of Defense announced the use of such tactics during a briefing on October 10.

On November 1, the department stated that due to Russian strikes with precision weapons on the objects of control systems, communications and energy of Ukraine, the management of the AFU groups and their logistics support was significantly disrupted.

According to the defense department, as a result of Russian strikes, Kyiv faced significant difficulties in transporting reserves and materiel to the combat areas by rail.

Along with this, production was disrupted at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
