European deputies praised Qatar's reforms in labor laws, especially after the abolition of the sponsorship system, during a meeting organized by the Human Rights Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels with Qatari Minister of Labor Ali bin Samikh Al-Marri.

While other deputies called on Qatar to continue reforms related to labor laws after it finished organizing the 2022 World Cup finals.

For his part, Al-Marri refuted the allegations published by some media regarding the World Cup projects "Qatar 2022", during his visit to the European Parliament on Monday, November 14.

The Qatari minister said that there are exaggerations, outbids and racism towards his country's organization of this international occasion, stressing that Qatar accepts constructive criticism, but refuses to rely on false sources.

Qatar is preparing to host the 2022 World Cup, starting from November 20, and the tournament will start with the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador at Al-Bayt Stadium, and the competition will continue until December 18.
