Polish Foreign Ministry: Warsaw is seeking EU sanctions on oil from the Druzhba pipeline

He recalled that Poland "undertook to use Russian oil only until the end of this year."

“But in order for this operation to be implemented, a decision is needed at the level of the European Union, which will be in the nature of sanctions.

If Poland itself, on the basis of its decision, refuses to use oil from this pipeline, we will simply have to pay compensation to the Russian side, ”TASS quotes him.

Earlier, the Polish operator PERN announced that the pumping of oil through the damaged section of the Druzhba oil pipeline in Poland was restored.

Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko said that Serbia and Hungary intend to build a branch from the Druzhba oil pipeline.

Also, an international expert on the resource and energy market, Vladimir Demidov, in an interview with the FBA Economics Today, called the US oil policy against Russia ineffective.
