He continued that the list also includes a violation of crossing a red light signal, as the General Traffic Department recorded 16,892 violations, pointing out that this violation caused 50 accidents during the first half of this year, resulting in the death of four people and the injury of 64 others with varying injuries.

He pointed out that 14 thousand and 84 violations of not leaving a sufficient distance between vehicles were recorded, which is also considered a dangerous violation, especially when committed on highways, as it reduces the chances of avoiding accidents, and it ranked second during the first half of this year in the list of the most violations that cause accidents. There were 350 accidents that resulted in the death of nine people and the injury of 248 others with various injuries.

Bin Suwaidan warned of the seriousness of the violation of lack of appreciation for road users, which ranked first in the list of causes of fatal accidents, as it led to the death of 10 people during the first half of this year, and the injury of 182 others with various injuries, out of a total of 175 accidents.

He pointed out that the list of the most prominent violations also included the sudden deviation of the vehicle, which is one of the dangerous violations that are usually associated with the driver’s preoccupation with the phone, so 5738 violations were recorded, indicating that the sudden deviation was behind 401 accidents during the first half of this year and caused the death of seven people and the injury of 245 others. uneven.

He stressed that one of the most serious violations that the administration always warns against is standing in the middle of the road without justification, and that they numbered 7,600 violations during the first six months of this year, and resulted in three deaths out of a total of five accidents only, which reflects the consequences of this behavior, which usually ends in severe accidents.

He pointed out the need for caution as well when entering the road, as it is one of the dangerous violations monitored by the Dubai Police, which amounted to 3,334 violations, and resulted in the first half of this year in 117 accidents, which resulted in the death of two people and the injury of 101 others.  

Pedestrian deterrence
